Are You Choosing the Right Type of Accommodation?

Booking accommodation for your holiday is probably one of the first things that you do when you’re planning to get away.

However, we know how difficult it can  be trying to pick the perfect one for you; is a hotel better for your needs or would you benefit more from booking yourself a villa for your stay? Why would you want to stay in a mobile home rather than B&B?

We’re here to clear up that confusion, and help you choose the right accommodation for your holiday – no matter where you’re jetting off to!

Hotels

One of the most popular forms of holiday accommodation choices, a hotel encompasses many different things. Their specific function is to provide all the facilities that you could possibly need while on holiday in one single room.

Hotels are extremely popular because of their “everything in one place” attitude, and cater to a wide range of people and needs; from older generations to youngsters wanting a stable base for their adventures with everything they need – from food to a cool shower at the end of the day.

Best For: everyday tourists and people who want a base where everything is available to them.

Hostels

For those travelling on a budget, hostels are usually their first choice. Basic in nature and rooms which sleep many people as opposed to private rooms for each booking, you really do get what you pay for when looking into staying at a hostel.

You’ll have access to a bed and a bathroom – sometimes even food if the hostel provides it, but that’s about it. This is why hostels are incredibly popular with those people who aren’t looking to spend much time at their accommodation – namely those who are active and don’t need to spend a lot of money on a room that they will just be sleeping in.

Best for: Travellers, active holiday makers and people who don’t mind sharing a room.

Bed & Breakfasts and Guest Houses

Bed and Breakfasts are usually small, local houses which have been converted to a guest house where guests have access to a bed, bathroom and food. They are very similar in nature to a hotel, but have a more homely, relaxed feel to them rather than a sparkling, corporate environment like some hotels create.

It is the homely charm that draws many people in, and is the perfect base for those who are looking for fun things to do in their holiday destination as you will be interacting with the owners themselves who will be able to give you helpful tips about where to go (and maybe even where to avoid) in the area.

Best for: Older people, people who like to learn about the area they’re visiting and who want breakfast in the price.

Mobile Holiday Homes

Now comes our area of expertise – the holiday home park! If you’re looking to choose somewhere that you can base yourself which has all the basics but which you can stay in and enjoy during those days where going out and seeing your destination might not be what you want to do, mobile holiday homes are perfect for you.

Not only are they incredible value for money to rent, you’ll have the freedom to come and go when you please. What’s more, they are all generally self catering, so you can save yourself money by eating in your accommodation using the inbuilt kitchen, rather than spending money eating out!

Best for: Anyone! Families, couples… even lone travellers – they have everything you could need.
